Four chemistry students from the University of St Andrews have helped to discover a class of molecules that can help accelerate DNA repair which could help in the treatment of diseases such as Alzheimer’s.
A total of 66 students graduated with an Honours degree in chemistry from St Andrews in 2022 as well as 24 with a PhD.
The results of the Research Excellence Framework (REF 2021) recognise the enduring strength of EaStCHEM’s partnership, which provides the largest chemistry research unit in the UK.
