Request a transcript or degree certificate if you studied or graduated before June 2010

Find out how to request official student documents if you completed your programme at the University before June 2010 and are not eligible to use the St Andrews Academic Documents platform.
Important
This process is only for students who completed their programme at the University before June 2010.
PDF transcripts are only provided to students who are not eligible to access documents via the digital document platform.
If you completed your programme from June 2010 onwards, you should access and share your documents using the St Andrews Academic Documents platform instead. If you have any questions, please email [email protected].
PDF transcript
To request a PDF transcript , email [email protected], including the following details:
- Full name, including any previous names used during your studies
- Date of birth
- Student ID number if you still know it
- Degree title and graduation year
The University will email you a secure PDF within 5 working days, for free.
Transcript paper copies
If you completed your programme before June 2010, you can buy a paper copy of your transcript on the University’s online shop.
Share your transcript with other institutions
If you completed your programme before June 2010 and you require the University to send the transcript directly to another institution, you must provide the institution’s email address when you email [email protected].
World Education Services (WES)
You must register with WES and include your WES application number when you email [email protected].
Law School Admission Council (LSAC)
- Buy a paper copy of your transcript from the University’s online shop. The paper copy will be automatically sent to LSAC.
- Email your LSAC cover letter to [email protected].
Degree certificate copies
If you completed your programme before June 2010, you can buy a copy of your degree certificate on the University’s online shop.
